Hear Dr John Hattie and Dr Lyn Sharratt explore their research on how Listening underpins all learning skills and behaviours of staff and students. They will move beyond the research to the practical foundations of the under-developed skills that comprise Listening.
The focus will be on specific skills teachers and leaders need to adopt and practice as they learn to listen and listen to learn; and those specific skills which students need to learn and use in classrooms as they are being taught to listen to learn and learn to listen. Those include listening skills extended through reading, writing and collaborative discourse.
